I chanced upon these 2 job advertisements posted by Elections Department when I was surfing the government career portal. The screenshots are attached in this e-mail.
According to Elections Department website (http://www.eld.gov.sg/homepage.html), it is an agency under Prime Ministers Office that is in-charge of "planning and preparing for, and managing the conduct of Presidential and Parliamentary elections and of any national referendum in Singapore".
Election Department is also responsible for training of election officials, updating list of voters, managing logistical issues related to elections, informing public of electoral process, administering Political Donations Act, set guidelines on spending rules and "recommending changes to Electoral Boundaries".
According to the ad, Elections Department is looking for "Training Support Executive" and "Training Facilitator", both are temporary position for 1-year with application dateline in mid-May 2014. Let's assume that the trainers were hired by August 2014, this means their tenure will end by August 2015. However, the ads stated that candidates are required "to be prepared to work extended hours under pressure during elections period".
Are the ads giving an indicative date for the upcoming General Elections? Luckily, they only hire Singapore Citizens this time.
