SMRT should allow women to consume snacks in MRT stations to alleviate morning sickness

Reading through the Voices letters in response to Ms Charlotte Ashton’s morning sickness ordeal on a train, I am left wondering how pregnant women can be helped more effectively besides being offered a seat.

Research has found that morning sickness can be triggered by strong smells; mints, lemonade and crackers can alleviate such nausea.

Pressing an acupuncture point between the wrist tendons two-and-a-half finger widths from the wrist crease for one to two minutes at a time can also be effective for some women.

Many MRT stations have kiosks that sell mints and light snacks. Would SMRT allow those suffering from morning sickness to consume such items, since it allows people to consume medication within the stations?
