Senior Pastor Nina and I, along with a team of pastors from FCBC, recently attended the International G12 Conference 2014 in Bogota, Colombia. At the Conference, this truth resounded strong and loud in my heart: “For the Lord is our Judge, The Lord is our Lawgiver, The Lord is our King; He will save us.” (Isaiah 33:22 NKJV) This truth is the basis of the Kingdom of God on earth. This means our faith should not be confined within the walls of the Church, but spread outwards throughout our nation so that Kingdom values are manifested in our communities. The Lord is not just the Lord of the church, He is the Lord of the jury of our nation for He is our Judge. The Lord is not just the Lord of the Christian community, He is also the Lord of the legislature of our Parliament for His is our Lawgiver.
In the past week, I have been putting all my effort into rallying the people of God to rise up and challenge an unfortunate list of FAQs posted by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) on its website. In return, I wrote a 7-page response that has been sent to the Minister for Health. The FAQs is filled with misleading pro-LGBT statements, and fails to warn the public of the high health risks associated with the homosexual lifestyle.
I am deeply disappointed that the Ministry of Health has allowed HPB’s website to become a platform of public persuasion for the LGBT agenda. This contradicts the expressed position of our Government that declared that “Putting the interests of society as a whole ahead of individual interests has been a major factor in Singapore’s success…” To this end, I have written to the Minister for Health to request for a public enquiry to uncover who is responsible for this unfortunate publication.
FCBC, do not remain silent. Let our voices be heard and sign the petition at gopetition.fcbc.org.sg to request the Minister for Health to conduct a thorough review of the information on HPB’s website. We are aiming for at least 25,000 signatures so that our message is clearly heard.
FCBC, it is time for us to ARISE and SHINE for “The Lord is our King; He will save us.”
