SINGAPORE: Train operator SMRT said a cable fault led to a loss in traction power between Kranji and Yew Tee MRT stations on Saturday afternoon.
As a result, service between Kranji and Yew Tee MRT stations on the North-South Line was disrupted for about an hour and a half.
SMRT said it detected a loss in traction power between Kranji and Yew Tee MRT stations at 12.30pm.
SMRT then deployed free bus bridging services between Woodlands and Yew stations.
SMRT added that train services resumed at 2.05pm and that free bus bridging services have ceased.
SMRT said its engineers are still on-site conducting investigations.
