SINGAPORE — O-Level school-leavers will have two more options when they collect their results on Monday, with the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) announcing two new courses — Higher Nitec in Human Resource and Administration and Higher Nitec in Space Design Technology — yesterday.
The courses will begin in April and classes will be held at ITE College Central.
The two-year courses are aimed at growing the talent pool to meet growing manpower demands in the business and construction industries.
The human resource course, which will have an initial intake of 80 students, is aimed at training more individuals to satisfy the demand for HR practitioners as more businesses set up in Singapore.
The Space Design Technology course, which will take in 40 students, aims to develop the manpower required to support growing demands for space design in the construction industry.
Applicants for this course will be required to attend an interview and drawing test.
Application for Higher Nitec courses will be open from Monday (3pm) to Friday (4pm).
Students can submit their applications for the courses at the MOE-JAE website at http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/jae/.
