PAP MP ZAQY MOHAMAD FINALLY REPLIES AFTER CASE OF AUTISTIC CHILD'S PLIGHT GOES VIRAL

PPP will be looking into this case and we get news that Zaqy only responded AFTER his case went viral... of course with some silly conditions! The problem Aqil faced is not just an isolated case. PAP has this policy on "compulsory education" but ironically it didn't provide subsidies for special needs children in terms of education! This resulted in shortage of education places for these special needs children. We pay MILLIONS for TWO EDUCATION MINISTERS but yet we ended up with such backward education system!

IS ZAQY MOHAMAD A REALLY USELESS MP? HELPS SINGTEL BUT IGNORES PLIGHT OF AUTISTIC CHILD

I refer to Facebook post by Aqil Alid whose predicament deserves the support of citizens. It is already a struggle for any parent with an autistic child. In this case, his child, Nabil, has almost turned 8 but has not be able to begin formal education. Although he could not assist his constituent, Zaqy somehow managed to find time to defend Singtel after the once in 50 years line outage on 3 December that lasted 24 hours. Zaqy also found time for events such as the BIG Farm Walk and Run but could not even belatedly help Aqil.

MINISTRY OF HEALTH: YOU DIE IS YOUR OWN PROBLEM!

I approached my Member of Parliament, Mr Zaqy Mohamad (Chua Chu Kang GRC), for a letter requesting that I be allowed to use my Medisave for my monthly medical fees. He graciously helped me. The reply, though, was that I could use my Medisave only when it is a critical condition. I then said that if I stop taking the medication, I would have liver cancer and it would be too late. There was no further reply. In Japan, I paid only about US$1 (S$1.26) a day, after subsidy, for my daily pill.

PAP CYBER ARMY COUNTERS CRITICISM OF PARTY, GOVT ON INTERNET SINCE 2007

THE People's Action Party (PAP) is mounting a quiet counter-insurgency against its online critics. It has members going into Internet forums and blogs to rebut anti-establishment views and putting up postings anonymously. Sources told The Straits Times the initiative is driven by two sub-committees of the PAP's 'new media' committee chaired by Manpower Minister Ng Eng Hen. One sub-committee, co-headed by Minister of State (Education) Lui Tuck Yew and Hong Kah GRC MP Zaqy Mohamad, strategises the campaign.
