Does Ho Ching Speak On Behalf Of The Government?

Granted, she's the PM's wife and privy to govt planning, but is she a minister or member of Parliament? If not, then she should refrain from answering publicly posted questions that are meant for Govt agencies to answer. Because majority of Singaporeans cannot tell the difference. They see PM's wife, they automatically assume she can speak for him in official matters. But if the govt has other plans it can cause a conflict of interest.

Organisers of the Speak Mandarin Campaign has apologised for their neglect and typo of the Chinese word "read" in the phrase "listen, speak, read, write". "The Speak Mandarin Campaign regrets the erroneous rendering of the character '读' as '渎' at the Official Launch yesterday, as these are two distinct characters with different meanings. We sincerely apologise for the gravity of this oversight and will take steps to address this". What steps? Go and ownself check ownself la.

ICA OFFICER PASSED SNIDE REMARK BCOZ MY SIS-IN-LAW CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH

My wife, sister in law and me just came back from batam, my sister in law is from china and she do not understand English at all...

She was at this passport checking counter which was mend by this malay lady who was plump in size... They were unable to communicate due to language barrier, which i then proceeded over to help...

While i was walking towards them, the malay lady that passed this rude remark to her collegue... "Simple english also don't understand" in a very sarcastic manner... I am very upset with this and wanted to take down her name... And guess what?

"You want my name, go to the office lo"...

We pay well and hire experienced people and university graduates.I desperately would like to hire more Singaporeans for openings, but there are some problems: many do not speak proper English, are inefficient, sheltered and often job-hop.
