SAMIR NEJI: I WANT S'POREANS TO BE HAPPY AND LESS STRESS

The independent candidate Samir Salim Neji, a foreigner-turned-citizen who appeared out of nowhere to create a multi-corner fight in Bukit Batok Single Member Constituency (SMC), says that he is contesting to "reduce stress" for Singaporeans and to "stand up for more happiness". After noticing that stress levels in Singapore were increasing, the 45 year-old managing director of Anaplan Asia Pacific says he wants to promote more time with family. "I want to reduce the stress so that there is more time with family. How many hours does a Singaporean work? We don’t have any private time for ourselves.”

Bukit Batok Independent Candidate Samir Neji is a FRAUD and should withdraw his candidacy. As a resident and voter of Bukit Batok, I call on Mr Samir Neji to stop making a mockery of Singapore's electoral process and withdraw his candidacy to give voters a chance to chose between two credible parties instead - parties that are run by Singaporeans for Singaporeans.

Out of nowhere, an independent candidate popped up to contest the Bukit Batok single-member constituency (SMC). His presence greatly upset some Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) supporters who were expecting a straight fight between their candidate Sadasivam Veriyah and the People’s Action Party’s (PAP) David Ong. This made Bukit Batok one of three SMCs that will see three-cornered fights this general election.
