Human Rights Lawyer Files Judicial Review Application to Stay Execution of Drug Trafficker

From April 2011, Suhail gradually increased his intake of heroin until he was taking roughly 12g to 18g of normal grade heroin a day around the time of his arrest on 3 August 2011. He described the normal grade heroin as “coklat gelap” or dark chocolate. He clarified that he did not reach this rate of consumption, which would cost an estimated $5,000 a month, overnight. In August 2011, his dependency level had got to the point where he was injecting himself every two or three hours just to delay the onset of withdrawal symptoms. When he had to work, he would smoke the heroin.

Reform Party Has Elected Charles Yeo As Chairman Of The Party

In his instagram stories, Charles Yeo @toxicstatenarrativeinsg has announced that the Reform Party CEC has elected him as the latest Chairman of the party. It's a good sign that even the Reform Party is welcoming new and young blood into its ranks, unlike the PAP who mostly consist of old fogies who are still stuck in the old school mentality that never change, which is why they lost another GRC at the recent GE.

GE2020: Opposition Candidates' Pictures Missing in ST Nomination Day Live Coverage

The 158th media has made no effort to hide their bias against the opposition by leaving out faces of opposition candidates in their Nomination Day Live Coverage. 158 did not bother to find photos of opposition candidates and just showed them as blanks while all the PAP candidates' faces were shown. What is their excuse for not being able to get a photo of the prominent Paul Tambyah who is going to be president of the International Society of Infectious Diseases?

GE2020: Reform Party Gives Way to PSP to Avoid Three-Cornered Fight in West Coast

West Coast residents and all Singaporeans will remember the Reform Party for graciously giving up their ward to make things easier for PSP who is seeking to contest in West Coast GRC. It definitely was not easy for RP to come to this decision given the party's "strong emotional connection" to West Coast, as written by Kenneth Jeyaretnam in RP's Facebook announcement, but they are doing this for the greater opposition unity. Talks between the leaders of both parties over claims to West Coast GRC had previously been unsuccessful.

ALL 3 PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS ARE NOT MALAYS, ARE THEY REALLY FIT TO LEAD?

Khan Osman Sulaiman does not regard any of the Presidential hopefuls as Malays despite this being a reserved Presidency. "Im still wondering where these hopefuls were during the past open presidential elections? Why only when it is reserved for a Malay candidate do they come forward? Maybe they are self-defeating and have low self esteem to contest in an open-election knowing they will not stand a chance. If the above is right, then they are not fit to be a leader."

WELL DONE NSP'S LIM TEAN, BETTER TO RESIGN THAN BE ZIPPED UP!

When I heard news that Lim Tean has resigned from NSP, I wasnt surprised of the reasons for his resignation. Curtailment of his freedom of speech is one of it. Often times, it's the alternative parties that espouses freedom of speech but in reality, fall short of implementing it within its own organization. I encountered many times where alternative parties feel uneasy when its members are vocal about issues they feel strongly about. Issues like LGBT, Tudung issue, discrimination, religion, 377A, article 154 etc.

But of course not all of the alternative parties hold such unwritten rules. It depends on the leader at helm. Some may argue that members need to toe along the party lines to achieve unity within the organization but by doing so, it instead create artificial harmony within its rank. These parties are then no better than the PAP, the very one they hope to replace. In this aspect, I'm proud to be a part of The Reform Party where its leadership never once tried to curtail my freedom of speech as long as it is done in a responsible manner. I wish Lim Tean all the best. It is better to move away than to be in a party and gets zipped up. That can spell the end of democracy.

PAP MP CLARIFIES WHAT HAPPENED ON EX RP MEMBER'S FACEBOOK

Assalamualikum Mr Jafri,

You have raised many inaccuracies. You said you had no money for transport to attend an interview the next day. I gave you an Ez-link card for travel and also personally called the security company you were interviewing with to ask them to support you.

I found out from the person that there was no such interview scheduled. I also called you at the number you gave. It was wrong number.

Last Monday; I went to the Meet the People Session to seek help from Amrin Amin; the MP for Woodlands.

Despite myself being a civil servant for 20 years; he told me, "Nobody owed you a living and nobody owed you anything" which implied that even when I'm in dire situation and needs some life line; nobody is obliged to help me ?.
