Lee Hsien Yang: Troubling Circumstances Surrounding Allegations Involving Lucien Wong

The front page of The Straits Times 25 Oct 1986 article "Report made against lawyer for alleged removal of legal files" has been making its rounds on social media. It reported an incident in 1986 where a female senior partner and a male lawyer at a leading law firm were reported to the police for alleged wrongful removal of company files. This issue also caught the attention of Lee Hsien Yang, the younger son of LKY and a Progress Singapore Party member. He voiced concerns over this article and its developments, saying how "Given all the circumstances, this is troubling."

Lee Hsien Yang: AG Filed More Than 500 Pages Of Complaint Against My Wife!

Lee Hsien Yang posted that the AG has filed more than 500 pages worth of complaints against his wife, Lee Suet Fern. He said that LHL never voiced any issues with LKY's will when their father was alive. He was also bitter that his brother is unleashing so many complaints now even though he never bothered to discuss things with him and his sister, Lee Wei Ling. Lee Suet Fern has filed her Defence. SDP CALLS FOR PRESIDENT TONY TAN TO REVOKE AG LUCIEN WONG'S APPOINTMENT

SDP has written to President Tony Tan in asking him to revoke AG Lucien Wong's appointment. This is in light of the AGC's reply that it will not look into allegations of abuse of power by PM Lee. It described this as hypocritical given that the AGC wants to look into Li Shengwu's private Facebook posting.

SDP DEMANDS AGC TO INVESTIGATE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST PM LEE

Chee Soon Juan of the Singapore Democratic Party has called for the AGC to investigate allegations against LHL. "Even though LHL has addressed some of these matters in Parliament on 3 and 4 July 2017, his statements must necessarily be viewed as partisan as they were not subject to critical cross-examination. He has also refused to convene a Commission of Inquiry despite widespread calls from the public to do so." Dr Chee also asked for Lucien Wong and Hri Kumar to recuse themselves from dealing with this matter.

CAN THARMAN EXPLAIN WHY LUCIEN WONG WAS MADE ATTORNEY-GENERAL DESPITE CONFLICT OF INTERESTS?

Tharman has just posted a lengthy note stating that they (the PAP) "have a system to preserve the rule of law and of policy-making that balances public against private interests." In that case, can he comment on the appointment of Lee Hsien Loong's personal lawyer, Lucien Wong, as AG? Was the Cabinet consulted and were they aware of potential conflict of interests in the appointment? And if they were aware, based on what criteria did they consider Lucien Wong suitable to take over as AG?
