S'PORE DRIVING CENTRE UNFAIR TO LEARNERS, DON'T EVEN LET US TRY TEST CIRCUIT

A reader shared his dissatisfaction about learning driving at the Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC), which does not give learners enough chance to familiarise themselves with the test circuit as compared to other learning centres. What do you think?

LET US LEARN AND MOVE ON FROM THE CPF PROTEST FIASCO

Sometimes I have a problem digesting what people expect from Roy or HHH? My own personal support of Roy comes from a belief in democracy. He has a right to his opinion and to do what he wants when he breaks no law. That he has through highlighting the CPF issue became famous or infamous as the case maybe cannot fundamentally change the fact that Roy is far from being a politician. The extrapolation of Roy from one issue to being a politician to be loved or hated is ludicrous.

PM LEE: SINGAPOREANS SHOULD LEARN FROM CHINA

While the Singapore development story is often touted as one of the most successful cases in the world, there are still many things the Republic can learn from China, in particular its people’s thirst for knowledge and drive to get ahead, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said yesterday evening. His comments, made at a dialogue at the annual FutureChina Global Forum, were in response to a question on what Singapore thinks it can learn from China. Mr Lee said he respected how driven the Chinese are in keeping up with the happenings around the world so as to absorb lessons and help propel the country forward.
