Another activist spoke out about being slapped with travel restrictions for taking part in a candlelight vigil that the police term as illegal public assembly. She said this was despite complying with the police's orders for the vigil.

The Online Citizen's Terry Xu was stopped from travelling to Malaysia as the Police demanded to take his statement on his 'unlawful' assembly for a candlelight vigil. The vigil was held a few months ago in memory of Prabagaran Srivijayan, who was subjected to the death penalty.

Boat captain Mr Shoo Chiau Huat has finally returned to Singapore after being detained in Indonesia for illegal fishing. He experienced jail, paying fines and "house arrest" before the court dismissed his illegal sailing charge in May. Altogether, he spent close to 1.5 years away from home and is happy to be reunited with his family once more.

EX-IRAS STAFF ACCESSED IRAS DATABASE ILLEGALLY TO GET INFORMATION ON EX WIFE

Jasmine Ab Kadir, who was a former temporary tax assistant at IRAS, wnet into the database 238 times in three days to get information on his wife and family members. The offences were carried out between 16 May and 23 May 2016. He was going through a divorce with his wife at the time.

POLICE RAIDED MASSAGE OUTLETS, SIX WOMEN ARRESTED

The women arrested were aged between 24 to 48 years old. During the raid, which took place on Wednesday, police checked 22 women from seven massage outlets. Six of them were arrested for offences under the Women's Charter and for working without a valid work permit. Police also seized 30 massage beds, 10 shower cubicles and other paraphernalia used by the massage outlets.
