Ivan Lim has tried to explain himself in response to online criticisms and maintained that he will not back out from contesting. He did not apologise for his arrogant behaviour and instead gave his version of stories with regards to the incidents posted online.

It states that “Every Singaporean has a role to play in fighting corruption, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on Tuesday (Jun 6), during the opening of the Corruption Reporting and Heritage Centre (CRHC) which allows members of the public to walk in and report suspected corrupt practices in person. Does paying the highest public service salaries in the world deter corruption?

Prominent Indonesian corruption investigator Novel Baswedan who is seeking medical treatment in Singapore after enduring an acid attack to his face in Indonesia had his surgery costs waived by the Singapore doctor, Dr Tan after he learnt that his patient was a corruption investigator injured during the course of duty.

CORRUPTION IN S'PORE AT 32 YEAR LOW BUT MANY HIGH PROFILE CASES?

There were 104 individuals convicted of corruption offences last year: 100 were private-sector employees, and the remaining four were from the public sector” – whilst only “15 per cent of the cases registered for investigation came from the public sector” – the news over the last year or so, may highlight the public outroar and disquiet over several high profile cases involving “(perceived) public money” which may be classified as from the private sector. The magnitude and arguably blatantness of such cases do not bode well for Singapore’s reputation, as well as the public’s trust and confidence in our “non-corrupt” system.
