Work on the East Coast area where once the Long Beach Main Seafood Restaurant once stood will be starting in the middle of this year.
According to reports, NParks had indicated that the area will be developed with improved amenities with open spaces. Of course, one of the main development would be food options. However, I feel that the East Coast area is a really wasted piece of huge potential. There are many things they could do with the area, especially now that plans on redeveloping the site are undertaken in earnest.
While the focus is on rejuvenating the site for locals with lots of recreational and food options, why are the authorities not prepared to use the area to actually build a sea side resort, that caters to the family? Maybe something along the lines of what people might find at Port Dickson? The area is large enough, potential to attract locals and tourists are huge, thus financial viability is also there.
