WOMAN HAS ARM TRAPPED IN MIXER AT AMK PASTRY SHOP, SERIOUSLY INJURED

A woman found herself in a emergency situation when her arm was trapped in a mixer at a pastry shop in Ang Mo Kio. The incident happened at Joyus Pastries' Ang Mo Kio branch on Wednesday, and it was understood the woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Reports indicated that it was her right arm that was trapped. SCDF was alerted to the accident at Block 114 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 at 1:05 pm, and staff at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital were alerted to be on standby to receive the badly injured woman.

Joyus Pastries sells goods like pineapple tarts, cookies and kueh lapis, and apart from Ang Mo Kio, they have another outlet at Tanjong Pagar MRT station. The Ang Mo Kio outlet have now been closed till 1 November.
