The Court of Appeal has dismissed Dr Tan Cheng Bock's appeal on the upcoming Presidential Election.
Dr Tan previously took issue with the Government for amending the Constitution for the reserved election and counting President Wee Kim Wee as Singapore's first elected President. He thought the count should start from President Ong Teng Cheong instead.
The Court, which initially reserved judgment on his appeal, has said that the Parliament's decision is lawful.
Does this come as a surprise?
